Iraqi Qaris Attend Quran Recitation Session in Pakistan
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A Quran recitation session was held in the Pakistani capital of Islamabad with the participation of internationally acclaimed Pakistani and Iraqi Qaris.
According to the website of the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Ali (AS) holy shrine, the program was organized on the sidelines of the 4th edition of ‘Nasime Karbala’ cultural festival.
The Astan of Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine, in cooperation with the Astans of Imam Ali (AS) and Hazrat Abbas (AS), and Pakistan’s al-Kawsar University, held the festival in Islamabad.
Seyed Baqer al-Bakhati, an official with the Astan of Imam Ali (AS) holy shrine, said the Quranic session was aimed at promoting the Quranic culture.
He noted that Seyed Hussein al-Hakim and Sadiq al-Zaydi from
Iraq and Hussein Sahib, Akash Heidar Baqeri, and Najm Mustafa from Pakistan
were among the Qaris who recited verses from the Quran at the program.
