Winners of the first to fifth titles in the competition were announced and awarded at the ceremony.
According to the decision of the contest’s panel of judges, the Jordanian representative bagged the top prize.
Quran memorizers from Algeria and Egypt came second and third while those from Bahrain and Oman won the fourth and fifth titles, respectively.
The women’s section of the 12th edition of Jordan’s international Quran competition had kicked off in the capital, Amman, on Wednesday, March 29.
Representatives of 21 countries took part in the Quranic event.
Zahra Qorbani who competed for Iran failed to win a title in the competition.
