According to Al-Arab website, the Office of Dissemination and Religious Guidance affiliated to Qatar’s Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs will supervise the national Quranic event.
Quran memorizers and students of Quranic centers in different parts of the country who are aged between 18 and 50 can attend the competition.
The participants will compete on memorization of the entire Quran, the first and the last 15 Juzes (parts) of the Quran, and memorization of Surah Baqara and Al-e Imran.
A category of "Quranic stories” has also been included in the competition this year.
The national Quranic contest will start on April 22 and run for one week.
