Holy Shrine of Hazrat Abbas (AS) Decorated for Sha’ban Eids
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The holy shrine of Hazrat Abbas (AS) in Karbala, Iraq, has been beautifully decorated on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS), Hazrat Abbas (AS), and Imam Sajjad (AS) in the lunar Hijri month of Sha’ban.
According to the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein’s (AS) holy shrine, different parts of the holy shrine and the courtyards have been decorated with colorful lights and flowers.
The custodians of the two holy shrines in Karbala are getting ready to host a large number of pilgrims on the auspicious occasions.
Every year, various ceremonies are organized in different parts of the world on the birthday anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS), Hazrat Abbas (AS) and Imam Sajjad (AS) on the 3rd to 5th of the month of Sha’ban (May 22 to 24 this year).
Muslims also celebrate the 15th day of the month (June 3, this year) which is the birthday anniversary of the 12th infallible Imam (may God hasten his glad advent).
