Abbas Nazarirad, the communications director general of the culture ministry’s Quran and Etrat Deputy, told IQNA that the expo will run for 18 days.
This year, the first day of the holy month of Ramadan will fall on May 27.
He said that like last year, the Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla (prayer hall) will host the international Quranic event.
People can visit the exhibition every day from 6 P.M. to midnight he noted.
Referring to "Quran, Ethics and Life” as the motto of the exhibition this year, Nazarirad said different programs will be held in line with this motto.
There will be different sections in the exhibition, he said, including a special section titled "A Quarter- Century of Quranic Activities” which will review the achievements of the international exhibition in the past 25 years.
Also, in special programs at the expo, three prominent figures who passed away recently, namely Ayatollah Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, Ayatollah Seyed Abdul-Karim Mousavi Ardebili and Ayatollah Abbas Vaez Tabasi, will be commemorated for their efforts in Quranic fields, he went on to say.
The Tehran International Holy Quran Exhibition is annually organized by the culture ministry during Ramadan.
It is aimed at promoting Quranic concepts and developing Quranic activities.
