Quran reciters and memorizers from different countries will take part in the international Quranic event.
According to Tasnim, the contest will kick off on Wednesday, May 18, and run until May 28.
The Islamic Republic of Iran will have two representatives in the competition.
Seyed Mostafa Hosseini and Mostafa Esfahanian will represent the country in the categories of recitation and memorization of the entire Quran, respectively.
In the last edition of the contest in 2016, Iran’s Mehdi Gholamnejad came fourth in recitation.
Saeed Aliakbari, the other Iranian contender, failed to win any title in the category of memorization.
