Summer Quranic Courses Planned for Visually-Impaired in Turkey
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A series of Quran teaching classes will be held during the summer holidays for the visually-impaired in Qahraman Mar’ash city, Turkey.
According to Yeşil Afşin newspaper, the participants will learn to read the Holy Quran’s verses in Braille.
They will also get acquainted with religious teachings.
All age groups can sign up for the classes.
The Quranic educational program will continue until the end of the summer season.
Braille is a writing system which enables the blind and partially-sighted people to read and write through touch.
It was invented by Louis Braille (1809-1852), who was blind and became a teacher of the blind.
