Sabrina, Hannan and Wahida live in Qiqba area in the city of Batna, northeast of Algeria.

According to Bawaba al-Sharq website, it was their mother who encouraged and helped the three memorize the Quran and learn the rules of Tajweed.

The first girl who learned to read in braille was Sabrina. She taught it to her sisters and then the three began memorizing the Holy Book using braille copies of the Quran.

Wahida says they also listened to Quran recitations by prominent Qaris of the Muslim world to review and preserve what they had memorized.

The Quran has 30 Juzes (parts), 114 Surahs (chapters) and 6,236 verses, and so memorizing the entire Quran is an achievement that requires a lot of efforts and time.

Wahida says learning the entire Quran by heart is not easy but neither is it impossible.

"We managed to achieve it through our strong will,” she stresses.

The three recommend that all Muslim girls read the Quran and take advantage of its enlightening teachings.
