Nat’l Quranic Plan in Iraq Aims to Train 100 Qaris, Memorizers

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Dar-ol-Quran Section of the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein’s (AS) holy shrine started a national Quranic plan for training 100 Quran reciters and memorizers in Iraq.

According to the website of the Astan, the main objective of the plan is to train top Quranic talents to represent Iraq at international Quran competitions.

The plan is underway at "Imam Hassan (AS)” town of pilgrims on the way from Najaf to Karbala.

Safa Al-Sielawi, head of the information center of the Dar-ol-Quran section said that the participants in the plan have been selected from among the Quran activists attended the "1000 Quran Memorizers” Plan, which is being implemented by the Astan in Iraq from years ago.

He added that Quran experts from Iraq and other countries are supervising and teaching the Quranic courses in the plan.

The Quranic program is simultaneously underway with the summer Quran memorization courses held for school students at the courtyards of the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS).
