Quranic Courses Warmly Received in Al-Azhar Mosque

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Egyptian Quran learners have warmly received the Quranic courses held at al-Azhar Mosque in Cairo.

 

According to fath-news website, those taking the courses learn reading and recitation of the Quran as well as memorization of the Holy Book.

Some senior Qaris and Quran scholars of al-Azhar Islamic Center teach the courses.

The center also holds courses in religious sciences such as Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), Hadith, Quran interpretation, and Islamic beliefs.

Al-Azhar is a historical mosque in Cairo. A Fatimid Caliph commissioned its construction for the newly established capital city in 970 C.E. It was the first mosque established in the city.
