Islamic Studies Course in Zimbabwe

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Iranian Cultural Center in Zimbabwe organized the third edition of a course on Islamic studies in Harare, the capital of the African country.

According to the website of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), the International Institute of Islamic Studies in the holy city of Qom cooperated with the center in holding the course.

"Islamic Belief System” was the title of a book taught in the three-week course at "Fatemeh Zahra (SA)” Islamic Center of the city.

Hojat-ol-Islam Ali Mokhtarian, dispatched by the Qom-based international institute, was the instructor of the course.

Theology, cosmology, the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) life, purification of soul, personal ethics, Islamic calendar and Islamic injunctions were some of the themes of the course.

Ale Muhammad Mosque in Harare hosted the closing ceremony of the educational program on August 18.

The participants in the course were honored in the ceremony, which was attended by the Iranian cultural attaché in Zimbabwe, Hojat-ol-Islam Mahdawi from ICRO, director of Imam Khomeini (RA) Islamic Center in Kadoma city, director of "Fatemeh Zahra (SA)” Islamic Center and head of the "Fatemeh Zahra (SA)” Women Institute.
