Kashmir Scholars Urge Muslims to Follow Quran, Sunnah

TEHRAN (IQNA) – In a roundtable conference held in Kashmir on Monday, scholars and religious personalities urged Muslims to turn towards Quran and Sunnah to dismantle anti-Islamic elements.

They also stressed the need for unity among Muslims all over Kashmir.

The conference, held at head Office of Karwan-e-Islami International, was attended by representatives from different schools of thought like Jamiat-e-Ahli-Hadith, Jamaat-e-Islami, Saut-ul-Awliya, Minhaj-ul-Islam, Anjumane Sharia Shian, Anjumane Tabligh-ul-Islam, Karwan-e-Wilayat, Ahle Bait Foundation, Ittihad-ul-Muslimeen, Haqani Memorial Trust, Darul Uloom Raheemiya, Ummat-e-Islami and Jamaite Ahle Sunnat.

Moulana Mushtaq Ahmed Veeri of Jamiate Ahli-Hadeeth, one of the speakers, said that anti-Islamic elements have always tried to target Islam and propagate its false image but failed every time, kashmirreader.com reported.

"The reason that Muslims today are engulfed with numerous problems is that we have gone astray and because we don’t follow Quran and Sunnah. To overcome all the challenges and problems, we should turn to Allah and follow the path of Quran and Sunnah,” Veeri said.

Calling the religion of Islam as Supreme, Abdul Salam Daga of Jamat-e-Islami said that Islam provides all rights whether religious, political or social rights in a balanced way. "The only reason we are suffering is that we aren’t united and it is important for all of us to get united follow Quran and Sunnah,” he said.

Moulana Mufti Sajad Hussain Raheemi of Darul Uloom Raheemiya said that it is important for Muslims to overcome intra-religious issues and come under one roof to get rid of challenges faced by the Muslims in Kashmir.

Aga Syed Hassan Moosavi of Anjumane Sharia Shian said Muslims should "get united and follow Quran and Sunnah. It will dismantle the anti-Islamic forces wherever they are.”

Calling for collective effort to resist the attacks on personal issues of Muslims, chairman Karwan-e-Islami International, Moulana Ghulam Rasool Hami said that it is the duty of every Muslim to stand and defend Islam and counter the outside attacks.
