Iranian Qari in Moscow to Attend Russia’s Int’l Quran Contest

Amir Laal Avval told IQNA that he will do his best to win the top prize in the competition and bring glory to his country.

He highlighted the level of the contest and said it is equal to the level of international Quran competitions held in countries like Malaysia, Kuwait, etc.

He hoped to get good results in the Quranic event with guidance from Iranian Quran master Seyed Javad Sadat Fatemi who is accompanying him in the competition as a guide.

Born in 1982 in the holy city of Mashhad, Laal Avval has learned Quran recitation skills with different Quran masters including Javad Panahi, Shafiei, Momen, Hassani and Mojtahedzadeh.

He has won a number of titles in national and international Quranic events, including the top rank in Iraq’s international Quran competition in 2014.

Russia’s Quran contest, known as the Moscow Quran reciting competition, started on October 5 and will run until October 9.

It has been held annually since 2000. Since year 2007 the competition became international.

Iran’s representative in the previous edition of the contest was Mehdi Saedi who came fourth in recitation of the Quran.
