Hamas Official Hails Iran’s Support for Cause of Palestine
Saleh al-Arouri, who has visited Iran heading a Palestinian Hamas delegation, said Iranian officials are keen to serve the cause of pulsation.
He also highlighted the growing relations between Hamas and the Islamic Republic, especially in recent months.
Arouri said the relations have been founded upon support for the Palestinian people’s rights and their struggle against occupation.
He further noted that his trip to Iran has been aimed at discussing the recent formation of a Palestinian unity government.
The delegation of senior Hamas officials arrived in Iran’s capital on Friday to confer with Iranian officials on mutual ties as well as the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian lands.
The visit follows the recent developments in Palestine which resulted a reconciliation agreement between the Gaza-based Hamas movement and Fatah movement in the West Bank.
