Some 400 senior Arab and Muslim personalities from 25 countries attended the event, organized by the World Coalition of Professional Institutions and Trade Unions, Arabi21 website reported.
Participants in the two-day conference (October 23-24) investigated plans for supporting the occupied city and the resistance of the Palestinian nation against occupation.
In an address to the conference, Akram Adlouni, secretary general of the coalition, underscored the importance of genuine support for al-Aqsa Mosque and the people of Quds against the continuous crimes committed by the Zionist regime.
There need to be practical measures to strengthen the resistance of the Palestinian nation in the face of the Zionist enemy, Adlouni added.
Sheikh Akrama Sabri, the imam of al-Aqsa, also delivered a speech in which he warned against the Zionist regime’s attempts to restrict Muslims’ access to the mosque.
