The second edition of Sheikha Fatima International Holy Quran Competition got under way in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, on Sunday.
The first day of the competition saw the participation of the contenders from Nigeria, Pakistan, USA, Maldives, Norway, and Chad.
The second day had seven memorizers from Myanmar, Egypt, South Africa, UK, Benin, Iraq, and Sri Lanka.
On Tuesday, the third day of the event, Quran memorizers from Finland, Palestine, Bahrain, Brazil, Tanzania, Bangladesh, and Burkina Faso went on stage to showcase their Quran memorization skills.
75 contestants of different recitation schools - Hafs, Warsh and Qaloon - from around the world are participating in the competition.
Iran’s representative in the contest is ten-year-old Zahra Sadat Hosseini from Khorasan Razavi province.,
She will leave Tehran for Dubai on Wednesday.
