Egyptian Qari Attends Quran Recitation Session in Iraq
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A Quran recitation session was held in Basra, Iraq, earlier this week with a senior Egyptian Qari in attendance.
The city’s al-Malak mosque hosted the event, held under the supervision of Sheikh Ali Muzaffar, representative of Iraq’s top Shia cleric Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, Qaaf news agency reported.
It marked the demise anniversary of the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH) and martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hassan (AS).
Top Iraqi Qars Qassim Maliki, Muhammad Nizar and Muhammad Sattar as well as Egyptian Qari Abdul Nassir Harak recited verses from the Holy Quran.
The Quranic Activists Society of Basral organized the Quran recitation session.
It is active in regularly holding Quranic programs like
Quranic courses, competitions and recitation sessions.
