Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Ali Khosravi said the examination is slated for Thursday, March 1, 2018, across the country.
He added that the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization and the Culture Ministry’s Quran and Etrat Deputy will jointly organize it in cooperation with the Education Ministry.
According to the cleric, all of the cities and towns in which there are at least 20 applicants will host the exam.
Everyone can take the exam and there is no age limit, he noted.
The categories of the examination include memorization of the entire Quran, memorization of certain Juzes (parts) of the Quran, and memorization of Surahs al-Mulk and al-Waqia, Hojat-ol-Islam Khosravi said.
He went on to say that the examination is, among other things, aimed at promoting the Quranic discourse in the society and assessing the activities of Quranic institutes in the country.
