Conference in Pakistan to Discuss Role of Islamic Universities in Boosting Muslim Unity
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The first international conference on role of Islamic universities in promoting true Islamic teachings and enhancing Muslim unity will be held in Islamabad, Pakistan.
According to Sadi al-Balad website, scholars and thinkers from 40 countries are expected to take part in the conference.
The International Islamic University, Islamabad, is going to host the event in April.
Ahmed bin Yusuf Al-Draiweesh, president of the university, said the participant will investigate ways through which Islamic universities can help to spread true Islamic beliefs.
He added that many problems have emerged today because of the actions of some who attribute their wrong actions to Islam.
Universities, which are a cultural and civilization project that can elevate the status of the Islamic Ummah, can help to address such issues, he said.
