Funeral of Senior Iranian Shia Cleric
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A funeral ceremony was held for prominent Shia cleric Ayatollah Nasrollah Shahabadi here in the Iranian capital on Tuesday.
The body of the top cleric was then taken to the holy city of Qom for burial.
Ayatollah Shahabadi passed away at a hospital in Tehran on Monday at the age of 86.
He was a member of the Assembly of Experts, representing the people of Tehran.
