Iranian Qari Holds Quranic Course in Philippines
TEHRAN (IQNA) – An Iranian Quran master taught a Quranic course held for Muslim women in the Philippines.
According to the Iranian Cultural Center in the South Asian country, Gholam Reza Shahmiveh was the instructor of the intensive Quranic course.
Fifteen Philippine Muslim women took the course.
The participants were given lessons on the principles and rules of Tajweed recitation of the Quran.
Shahmiveh is in the Philippines at the head of a Tawasheeh 9religious singing) group named Kowsar.
The group also held a course on Tawasheeh for 14 Muslim teenagers.
They have travelled to the Philippines for Quranic programs during the holy month of Ramadan.
