TEHRAN (IQNA) – Iran’s Quran TV will begin broadcasting the performances of the participants in the 6th International Quran Competition for Muslim Students on Monday night.

They will be aired as part of a Quranic program titled “Isra”.

The preliminary stage of this edition of the contest was attended by some 203 Qaris and memorizers from various countries.

The final round held in the northeastern holy city of Mashhad in April.

It saw the participation of 44 university students, 19 Qaris and 25 memorizers from 35 countries.

The performances of the contenders in both categories, recitation and memorization of the Quran, were recorded at the time.

The recordings, which have been edited and prepared for broadcasting, will be aired on the Quran TV for a month starting tonight.

Those interested can watch the program on Saturdays, Mondays and Wednesdays until July 18.

The Iranian Academics’ Quranic Activities Organization, affiliated to the Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research (ACECR), has organized 6 editions of the competition since 2005 with the aim of promoting Quranic activities among university students in the Muslim world.
