Vienna to Host Iran-Austria Interfaith Dialogue Next Year

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) Abuzar Ebrahimi Torkaman said Austria’s capital of Vienna is planned to host the 8th round of Iran-Austria interfaith dialogue next year,

 

Speaking in a meeting with Austria’s deputy foreign minister for cultural affairs in Tehran, he noted that the previous round of the talks was held in Iran in 2016.

The interfaith dialogue between Iran and Austria is on a good path, he said.

Ebrahimi Torkaman added that over the past 30 years, the Islamic Republic of Iran has held interreligious dialogue with the Vatican, South Korea, Lebanon, and other countries.

He further referred to the long history of the ties between Iran and Austria and called for holding joint cultural weeks in the two countries.

The Austrian official, for her part, jailed the idea of promotion of Iran-Austria cultural relations
