Quran Memorization Course Concludes in Mauritania
TEHRAN (IQNA) – An educational course on Quran memorization and Tajweed principles was organized by Mauritania’s Holy Quran Society in Nouakchott, the capital.
According to alakhbar news agency, 59 girls and boys from different parts of the country participated in the Quranic program.
Memorization of 10 and 5 Hizbs (each hizb is half the length of a Juz) was the theme of the course.
The main objective of the educational program was to help the studnts make the best use of their summer holidays.
Walad Seyyed Al-haj, head of the society said that the Quranic center aims to serve the Holy Quran and raise a generation based on Quranic teachings by holding such courses.
The 45-day intensive course concluded on August 15.

Muslims make up over 98 percent of the country’s population.
