Islamic Centre of England to Host Ceremony on Eid Al-Ghadir

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Islamic Centre of England in London will host a ceremony to celebrate Eid al-Ghadir on Thursday.

  

According to the center’s website, the event will include various programs, including a speech by the center’s president, Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Ali Shomali, and eulogy recitations by Behzad Molaei.

The Islamic Centre of England is a Shia Islamic religious and cultural center in London whose mission is to provide services to members of the Muslim community, in particular, and the wider community at large, focusing on religious guidance and cultural issues.

Shia Muslims worldwide will celebrate Eid al-Ghadir on Thursday.

The event of Ghadir, or Eid al-Ghadir, is among important feasts and happy holidays of Shia Muslims held on the 18th day of Dhu l-Hijja in the lunar Hijri calendar.

It was the day when according to reports, the Holy Prophet (PBUH) appointed Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS) as his caliph and the Imam after himself following an order from God.
