Scholarly Quranic Conference Planned in Karbala

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A scholarly conference about the Holy Quran and Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) is planned to be held in the holy city of Karbala, Iraq, in November.

  

According to the website of the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine, the Quranic Studies Center affiliated to the Astan will organize the event.

Sayyed Mortadha Jamaleddin, head of the organizing committee, said Epistemic concomitance of the Quran and Etrat (AS) is the title of the conference.

He said it will be held with the motto of Lan Yaftariqa (they will not separate) on Friday, November 23.

According to Jamaleddin, the participants will discuss the fact that the Quran and Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) are not separated.  

There will be also research papers on Quranic sciences, Tafseer (Quran interpretation), and ethical, political and literary issues, he added.
