Iranian Qari, Memorizer Back Home after Attending Croatia Quran Contest

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Iran’s representatives at the 25th international Quran competition of Croatia returned home after winning a top title in the contest.

Kazem Azarpira and Mohammad Rasoul Takbiri arrived at the Imam Khomeini (RA) Airport in Tehran late on Sunday.  

Azarpira, who represented Iran in the recitation category, bagged the top prize but Takbiri failed to win any titles in the category of memorization of the entire Quran.

Croatia’s 25th international Quran competition was held in the southeastern European country on September 27-29.

As many as 75 Quran reciters and memorizers from 42 countries participated in this year’s Quranic event.
