Quranic Center for Kids to Open in Shia Region of Saudi Arabia

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A specialized Quran memorization center for children under the age of 7 is planned to be established in majority Shia region of Al-Ahsa in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province.

  

According to elbalad.news, Ahmad ibn Hamd Al Bu Ali, head of the Official Council of “Mohammad ibn Fahd ibn Jalwi” Quranic Institute announced that the institute plans to open the new Quran center.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of one of the institute’s new buildings, he said that the children taking courses at the new center will memorize the entire Quran.

Shia Muslims are estimated to make up more than 20 percent of Saudi Arabia’s population. They mostly live in the country’s Eastern province.
