According to the website of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Mehrdad Rakhshande, the Iranian cultural envoy, stressed the necessity of boosting religious and cultural ties between the two Islamic countries.
He said that during the 40 years since the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, the country has reached great achievements in religious and Quranic fields and managed to train many internationally known Quran reciters and memorizers.
Iran also has valuable experiences in holding Quran competitions and exhibitions as well as in publication of Quranic researches and studies, he added.
He added that Iranian scholars have innovated modern techniques and methods in teaching Quran recitation, memorization and interpretation for different age groups.
Rakhshande further said that the Iranian Cultural Center in Jakarta is ready to boost mutual relations with Indonesia in religious and cultural areas.
The Indonesian official, for his part, thanked the Iranian center for sending Holy Quran copies to the association and expressed willingness for developing relations and making use of the Iranians’ Quranic experiences.
