Quran, Hadith Competition Held in Algeria
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The preliminary stage of a competition on memorization of the Holy Quran and Nabawi Hadiths was held in Ghardaia Province of Algeria.
According to annahar channel, 400 Algerian memorizers of the Quran in different age groups, including children, teenagers and the youth, participated in the competition.
The Office of Awqaf and Religious Affairs of the province organized the contest separately for girls and boys.
It was supervised by seven committees of Quran experts.
Amir Abdulqadir, director of the office, said that the competition was an opportunity for gathering the young girls and boys under the banner of the Divine Book.
The Quranic event was the preliminary stage of a great Quran competition, which will be organized on the birthday anniversary of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in Algeria.
