Methodical Interpretation of Quran Unveiled in Iraq’s Kufa

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A methodical interpretation of the Quran in Arabic was unveiled in e ceremony at Kufa University in Iraq.

                                                

The ceremony was attended by a number of Iraqi religious, cultural and academic figures.

Titled “A Methodical Exegesis of the Quran”, the book is a work by Iraqi Shia scholar Muhammad Hussein al-Saqir.

Addressing the ceremony, he said he has used a blend of old and contemporary methods of interpretation to write the book.   

Ali Khazir Haji, dean of Kufa University’s Faculty of Educational Sciences, also delivered a speech at the event, praising the exegesis as an achievement made after 40 years of studies and efforts.

He noted that the publications office of the Astan (custodianship) of Hazrat Abbas (AS) holy shrine has published the book.

Born in 1940 in Najaf, Iraq, al-Saqir is a prominent Iraqi scholar and poet.
