Al-Azhar to Hold Int’l Quran Memorization Competition
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The board of Senior Scholars in Al-Azhar University in Egypt plans to hold an international competition on Quran memorization for different age groups.
According to almesryoon.com, Abbas Shoman, secretary general of the board, said top Quran memorizers from all over the world are invited to participate at the competition.
He added that Al-Azhar will soon announce the date and conditions for participation and organization of the Quranic event.
Cairo will host the international competition, to be organized by the Board of Al-Azhar’s Senior Scholars.
It also plans to hold an international conference on “innovation in Islamic sciences”.
