Speaking to IQNA, Sheikh Qassan Hamid, member of Palestine’s Ansarullah movement, underlined that Palestinians will continue the path of resistance until Zionists are expelled from the occupied lands.
Schemes that aim to end the issue of Palestine (without solving the issue of occupation) are doomed to failure, he said.
Qassan further deplored some Arab countries’ moves to normalize ties with the Zionist regime, saying Muslims are opposed to these moves and strongly condemn them.
Those who seek normalization of Arab countries’ ties with Israel are not representatives of Arab nations but are stooges of the US, he said.
According to the activist, the issue of Palestine is still the main issue of the Muslim world and such attempts would get nowhere.
He also underscored the need for Muslim governments to put the issue of Palestine high on their agenda.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Qassan deplored Israel’s disregard for UN Security Council resolutions, saying the UN body has adopted more than 200 resolutions since 1967 on the issue of Palestine but the Tel Aviv regime, backed by the West, does not comply with them.
He went on to say that the UN and the Security Council are not serious about helping the establishment of the Palestinian state with Quds (Jerusalem) as its capital.
