Islamic Jurisprudence Workshop Planned in Lahore

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A workshop on Fiqh (jurisprudence) of education will be held by Jamiat-ul-Wothqa Seminary in Lahore, Pakistan.

 

The month-long educational program will start on January 1, 2019.

Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Javad Naqavi, eminent Pakistani Shia cleric, will be the instructor of the workshop.

He has three PhDs in philosophy, sociology and Fiqh (jurisprudence). He has studied and taught Islam in Iran for more than 30 years. His most prominent teacher was Ayatollah Abdollah Javadi Amoli.

Naqavi is the Chancellor of Jamia Urwat-ul-Wuthqa Islamic University in Lahore and Principal of Jamia Jaffria Islamic University in Gujranwala, Ummul Kitaab Ladies Islamic University in Lahore, Head/Principal of Deen-ul-Qayyim online Islamic University and Chairman of Siraat Education Schooling System. He is also Principal of many Islamic schools.

The main objective of the program is to help the seminarians to make the best use of their winter holidays.

Those willing to participate at the workshop can register by December 30.

Jamia Urwat-ul-Wuthqa is a Shia public research university in Lahore Provincial Capital of Punjab, Pakistan. The University is one of the top Islamic institutions of Pakistan which has qualified team of teachers and researchers.
