Quran Contest Gets Underway in Sharjah

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The final stage of the 22nd edition of Sharjah national Quran competition got underway in the UAE city on Friday.

According to sharjah24.ae website, some 1,000 individuals from different cities of the United Arab Emirates are taking part in the Quranic event.

They also include foreign nationals residing in the Arab country.

The competition is annually organized by the Sharjah Quran and Sunnah Institute in two sections for men and women.

They compete in different age group and in two categories, namely memorization of the Quran and Hadith.

The preliminary round of this edition was held last month.
