TEHRAN (IQNA) – More than 30 individuals from different countries have embraced Islam at the holy mausoleum of Hazrat Masoumeh (SA) in Qom over the past two years, an official said.

 

Kamal Soraya Ardakani, head of the international affairs department of the Astan (custodianship) of the holy shrine, the new converts have been from countries like South Korea, Japan, Brazil, Mexico, Switzerland, Germany, France, China and Luxemburg.

He said the Astan holds special programs for the converts and keeps in touch with them, according to IRNA.

The official further said more than 16,000 foreign nationals from 86 countries have visited the mausoleum in the current Iranian calendar year (started on March 20, 2018) so far.
