The contest was under the supervision of Qatar’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education in partnership with the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.
A total of 384 students participated from 134 schools, both male and female and from various age groups. Fawzia Al Khater, Assistant Under-Secretary for Educational Affairs of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, honored the winning students during a ceremony at the Ministry.
During his speech at the ceremony, Hassan Al Baker, Headmaster of Ahmed Bin Mohamed Secondary School, expressed the pride his school holds for organizing the contest for the second consecutive year, in cooperation with Al Falah Primary School for Girls.
He stated that the purpose of the contest is to encourage students to learn the correct recitation of the Holy Quran, as well as develop students’ skills in its vocal performance.
