Itikaf Ritual Planned in Pakistan
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The spiritual ritual of Itikaf (religious retreat) will be held for the youth in Quetta, Pakistan.
The program will begin on the 13th of the lunar Hijri month of Rajab (March 21), the birthday anniversary of Imam Ali (AS).
The city’s Khatam-ul-Anbiya Mosque will host the program for three days, until the 15th day of Rajab (March 23).
Teenagers above 16 years of age and university students willing to attend the ritual can register at the office of the mosque.
Itikaf, in the Islamic faith, is a particularly commended pious practice consisting of a period of retreat in a mosque, for a certain number of days in accordance with the believer's own wish.
Those taking part in the spiritual ritual sit in mosques and fast and pray the almighty God during the three days of Itikaf.
