Iran’s Army to Launch 50 Quran Memorization Centers

TERHAN (IQNA) – The head of the Iranian Army’s public relations office said the Army is planning to launch 50 Dar-ol-Tahfiz (Quran memorization centers) in its units.

 

Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Akbar Mousavi made the remark at the closing ceremony of a Quran competition for Army Ground Force personnel and their family members in Isfahan, Irna reported.

He added that 38 of the centers are ready to be opened.

Today, Quranic activities are growing in the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army and other armed forces, and the Quranic culture is manifested in the Army more and more, the cleric said.

He stressed that the Quranic culture is the main support for the defense capabilities of the country’s armed forces.

The competition was held with the participation of 300 Army personnel and their family members.
