Imam Reza (AS) Birthday Celebrated in Russia

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A ceremony was held in the Russian capital of Moscow to mark the birthday anniversary of Imam Reza (AS), the eighth Shia Imam.

The Islamic Center of Moscow organized the celebration on Friday to promote the Seerah of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) and the Razavi culture.

It was addressed by Hojat-ol-Islam Saber Akbari Jeddi, the head of the Islamic center.

There were also speeches in the Russian language, as well as eulogy recitations and Tawasheeh (religious singing) performances by the Falaq Group from the central Iranian city of Isfahan.

Another event was organized at the Khatam al-Anbia Mosque of Moscow on Saturday night to mark the auspicious occasion.

Imam Reza’s (AS) birthday anniversary falls on the 11th day of the lunar Hijri month of Dhul Qaada, which falls on Sunday, July 14, this year.
