Top Female Qaris, Quran Memorizers Honored in Iraq

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A number of girl students who have managed to win top ranks at different Quran competitions in Iraq were honored in a ceremony in the holy city of Najaf.

 

According to Qaaf news agency, the program was organized by the Dar-ol-Quran of Women Section affiliated to the Holy Quran Center of the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Ali (AS) holy shrine.

Marziye Gholam, head of the Dar-ol-Quran, said that the winners of the 4th Quran competition of the Astan as well as the top participants in Quran competitions recently held by “Al-Tammar” Charity Institute and schools of the country were awarded in the ceremony.

Quran recitation, a speech by Na’eema Abdullatif, an Iraqi Quran memorizer, eulogy recitation and Tawasheeh performance on the occasion of Imam Reza’s (AS) birthday, and a Quranic seminar were different parts of the program.
