Ghadir Festival Planned in Pakistan
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The event of Ghadir will be exhibited at Gulistan Town of Quetta, Pakistan.
Given the status of Ghadir Eid among Muslims in Pakistan, the important historical event will be exhibited in the form of different artworks and plays.
A play on the event will start from 6 p.m. today in Gulistan Town of Quetta and continues until 10 p.m. local time.
The cultural program on the auspicious occasion will be held in the region until Wednesday, August 21.
Different mosques and schools of the city will also host ceremonies on Eid Al-Ghadir.
Ghadir-e Khumm is the name of a pond located in Khumm on the road from Mecca to Medina. In this place, on Dhu-l-Hijja 18,10 (March 19, 632), the Holy Prophet (PBUH) announced Imam Ali (AS) as his successor. This event is known as the event of Ghadir.
