500 Muslim Figures Convene in Moscow
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 7th gathering of Muslim scholars and figures was held in the Russian capital of Moscow on Monday.
Islamic scholars and senior Muslim personalities from 42 countries attended the gathering at the Grand Mosque of Moscow, the website of the Islamic Culture and Relations (ICRO) reported.
ICRO’s chief Abouzar Ebrahimi Torkaman and Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri, senior advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, represented Iran in the gathering.
It was held at the invitation of Russia’s Grand Mufti Rawil Gaynetdin on the occasion of the 115th anniversary of the mosque’s construction.
Ayatollah Taskhiri and Ebrahimi Torkaman will also attend an international conference in Moscow on Tuesday.
At the conference, they will deliver speeches on Islamic unity and countering the conspiracies of Islam’s enemies.
