Islamic Arts to Be Exhibited in Kuwait
In a meeting with Iran cultural attaché in Kuwait, head of the Islamic Arts Center in Kuwait announced that exhibitions of Islamic arts will be held with the presence of Iranian eminent artists in Kuwait.
According to the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), Farid Al-Ali said that the center will begin holding new edition of international forums from December 25 with the presence of artists from 12 countries such as Iran, Egypt, Turkey, India, Bangladesh, Morocco, Palestine and Syria.
He added that holding an exhibition of Islamic weavings is among the new plans of the center in which Arefi, an Iranian female weaver will present a speech in Arabic and English languages.
“The veil of Ka’ba will also be displayed at the exhibition,” he noted.
Referring to the activities of the center and the history of its establishment, he said the establishment project of the center was implemented under the supervision of Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs of Kuwait.
Also speaking at the meeting, Abbas Khameyar, Iranian cultural attaché in Kuwait, regarded art as the best and the greatest tool for dissemination of culture and appreciated the Kuwaiti party’s efforts to introduce Islamic art.
He further asked for boosting cooperation between the two countries and more relations between the Kuwaiti center and Iran Cultural Center and invited the Kuwaiti party to visit Yazd, Hamedan and Isfahan which are considered as Iranian historical cities with unique handicrafts and tourist sites.
The officials also discussed holding an exhibition of Islamic Arts Center in Tehran and other exhibitions of artworks by Jalil Rasuli and Bahram Saleki, Iranian artists, concurrent with the birth anniversary of the holy prophet (PBUH) in Kuwait.
