It will be held at Imamzade Panjtan holy site in Tehran after Maghrib and Isha prayers with the participation of his students and the city’s Quranic community.
The program will mark the 9th anniversary of master Arbabi’s demise.
The renowned Quran reciter and instructor died on March 8, 2006, after a long illness.
He had traveled to Egypt and received recitation permissions from such great masters as Mostafa Ismail and Minshawi.
Born in 1939 in Tehran, Arbabi began learning the Quran at the age of ten.
He learned the nuances and skills of Quran recitation with masters like Khalil Rahman and Ebrahim Pourfarzib, known as Molayi.
In a message after Arbabi’s death, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei described the Quran master as one who spent his life at the service of the Holy Quran.
