Dubai International Holy Quran Award Lectures to Focus on Happiness, Positivity

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Happiness and positivity will be the focus of the cultural program of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award (DIHQA) this Ramadan.


According to a top official, prominent scholars from around the world have been invited to mark the special 20th edition of the global competition and be part of the 22-lecture program.

Ibrahim Bu Melha, Adviser to the Ruler of Dubai for Cultural and Humanitarian Affairs and Head of DIHQA Organizing Committee, said happiness and positivity will be the realm of the lecture program this year.

The lecture program is to take place at three different venues: the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (open), Women Renaissance Society (women only), and Indian Academic School at Muhaisanah-3 (foreign communities), he added.

"All lectures are slated to start at 10.30pm every night after the Taraweeh Prayer. Valuable prizes await attendees every night," he said.

According to Bu Melha, the 13-category award, aimed to serve the Holy Quran, is annually held under the patronage of Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, KTimes reported.

Saleh Ali Abdurrahman, head of the lecture unit, said the popular lecturers will be talking about the deeply-rooted concepts of happiness and positivity in Islam as stipulated in the Holy Quran and urged by Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon) him.
