Misbah-ol-Huda, from Iran’s southwestern city of Abadan, was named the best Tawasheeh group in the country at the 40th national Quranic contest earlier this year.
The Iranian Quran Supreme Council has dispatched the group to the East African country on the occasion of the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) birthday and Islamic Unity Week.
They have so far performed programs in Shia and Sunni mosques, the IBN TV network, a boarding school, the Iranian embassy, and a ceremony held to mark the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) birthday.
The ceremony was attended by a number of foreign ambassadors to Tanzania, including the Iranian, Egyptian, Indian, Lebanese, Qatari, Pakistani and Saudi envoys.
The Tawasheeh group will return to Iran on Thursday, December 7.
