Quran Competition Held in Switzerland
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A Quran competition was held in Switzerland with the cooperation of Kuwait's Mercy (Al-Rahma) International Association.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Jamal Al-Khateeb, an organizer of the competition, said that it was the first edition of the Quranic program held in the European country.
A total of 50 individuals between the ages of seven and seventy years participated in the Quranic event and competed in five groups, he said.
The five top winners were awarded Umrah pilgrimage trips, he noted.
Al-Khateeb went on to say that such competitions encourage Muslims of the country to memorize and contemplate the Quran.
