Talking to media during his visit to an Ashura procession in the city of Karachi, Ismail said that Imam Hussein (AS) set an example by sacrificing his life on the path of Islam, said a statement issued on Wednesday, urdupoint.com website reported.
The Governor added, “Today our Kashmiri brethren are struggling for their freedom and are sacrificing their lives.”
He vowed that Pakistani nation would continue to support the Kashmiris' for their right to self-determination until the last drop of their blood.
Tuesday marks Ashura, the tenth day of the lunar Hijri month of Muharram. On this day, Shai Muslims around the word mourned the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS) and his companions in the 680 Battle of Karbala.
