More than 3,000 Receive Quranic Education at Afghanistan’s Isra Dar-ol-Quran

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Some 3,150 men, women, and children have taken the Quranic courses of Isra Dar-ol-Quran Center in Kabul since it was launched.

 

Abdul Shakur Fallah, head of the center, said it was established in the Afghan capital six years ago.

Since then, it has organized various courses on reading, memorization, and recitation of the Holy book, he said.

Some 500 individuals have taken the preliminary Tajweed courses and 400 of them went on to take the advanced course, according to the official.

He also noted that the center has trained tens of Quran memorizers.

In total, 1,450 women and 1,700 men have taken the courses offered by the center so far, Fallah went on to say.
